With the transition to XPages, Views have regained their importance in LND application development... arguably for the NotesViewNavigator alone. Using this as a data source to build a JSON data source, I can use it at-will to create (and filter) any representation of NotesData I want. Combine this with storing the JSON in scoped variable... the speed is unmatched. The "View" as a UI Element is dead, but as a data source it's invaluable.
