What was the problem? Well, I'd changed the formula in a column in a view. The
formula was wrong and caused an error which I didn't notice at the time. When I
used the column in a DBColumn on the form I was working on I got the above
error. Moral: Always check the column values are okay before you save and close
a view in designer!
