    Let's use the example of an approval database/app.

    In my world, managers want to see who submitted requests by division, by dollar amount, by item type, etc. They're not really 'searching', but looking for cumulative signs of a problem. Views suit that type of user very well.

    Ideally, a pie chart that they could drill into might suit them even better, but I can't do that natively, and that would require some retraining. As intuitive as some of that stuff is for us, it's not as easy for someone who has been with the company 35 years and used Notes views for 15 years.
