Cache is king! If it's a first-timer coming to your site, then they'll wait a bit and give the js time to load. After that, it's a matter of version control for the developer and caching for the browser client.
Maybe there's a camp out there like that wants options similar to the HTML or Flash versions of a site. Do we need to add 'Ajax' to this list of options?
