If the view in the view template would be the result of a search (Query=...),
the well known fields Hits and TotalHits would work absolutely fine.
So Radu is absolutely right. Apart from the fact, that the number of docs in
the view might exceed the count parameter used for displaying the view. To make
it a perfect fit, one would have to retrun the lesser of the two.
