I've been a huge fan of SASS and have been using it exclusively for nearly a year now. I poked a bit at LESS but wasn't quite as happy with the syntax.
SASS currently does not have an in-browser compile option afaik, you must have ruby installed and utilize Compass to pre-compile. It's quite smooth if you just let compass watch the source folder for changes it will auto generate a new CSS anytime you save.
