One thing I like about xpages... It brings RAD to domino web development. One thing I didn't like about web development with notes was the fact that I had to decide which js framework I had to use. I lost lots of time learning a new js framework (dojo, ext, prototype, etc. ). My primary goal is to develop applications web and/or notes. I want to get my things done. With 8.5.X I'm able to do it with (almost) one tool. RAD in notes client and with xpages in the browser too.
Just read most of the posts.
