In the time since my last comment here my situation has changed. I've taken a position as a podcast producer with my friend's company, Tom Parish, Inc. He was my boss at Motorola and has become a really good friend.
Social media production for the Internet is a big change from programming and that's what makes it so much fun. It's a new kind of creative that I've been dabbling in for quite awhile.
I still want to make web sites and long for a fully web-enabled tool that can let me build anything without having to install anything on my computer. Notes/Domino with no need for the Notes Client or the Notes Designer. There's lots of things out there that get part way there but all that I've encountered are narrowly focused and leave me feeling constricted.
Plone comes the closest to what I'd want, but still I want more.
