XPages or other methods including using Dojo straight the way I do and traditional Domino Web development can all do the job with no problem. The more important question is to ask what tools are available or you can create that your users can use to maintain and update the information on the web site. If you can create it in XPages or Flex that is great. As long as your client can easily use the tools. Having the client create or update Web pages using XPages is mostly likely not going to happen.
