If you look through the version history of all the availble versions (bottom of
the article) I think it's v1.5 that used the field's ID to do just the same
thing.
I got rid of this so as to improve the chances of it working in Netscape.
I also find it easier to see which are the required fields when in an array
versus having to look through the attributes of every field.
Nice to see other people thinking along the same line though. You know what
they say about great minds ... ;-)
