Having your own domain is a handy thing. I always enter an email address on most websites. But I always make up the address so it contains a reference to the site that I am entering the address at.
If I'm expecting the site to email me then I can still collect the message from my held queue. But if i start getting junk mail then I can tell which site gave away my address.
