Here's an example of an interface we designed for a customer portal... This implementation is not XPages, its a domino database running standard domino (non x-pages) development, using EXT.js ... Again, it comes down to how you decide to write and implement the application. There isn't anything in these screenshots that could not have been developed using XPages and Dojo instead to get a very similar look/feel ...
The idea that "domino" only does "ugly" web development is completely a misnomer ... maybe it should be "domino developers only make ugly web apps" :) But then we know that isnt true either.
