One of the demos Mark Barton published with me used JSON to handle login credentials. {Link} That's the nice thing about Ajax - you don't HAVE to use XML - any old plain text message of your choosing will do. Hugely useful. Now all I have to do is convince the WebService zealots here to ditch SOAP in favor of JSON.
