1) Ignore the dialog entirely until the NSD (whatever the hell it is called in 8.5.1) finishes doing it's "thing".
2) Click the "View the Message" link in the dialog.
3) Your screen will flash to a "blank" screen showing a command window and a new dialog box. Click the "X" in the command window.
4) Click the "Return" link in the new dialog box.
5) Restart Notes.
