I actually have no idea what the future will bring for Domino and the Lotus brand as a whole. I see positive signs and negative signs all over the place. My gut feeling is that things are not going that well, I base it mostly on real stories by real people on blogs.
Rest assured though that I am neutral in the matter. I wish for Lotus to succeed and it's community has a special place in my heart. I also know that Notes/Domino has a number of incredibly powerful technologies not found in other platforms. That being said, I have no personal stake in the outcome. Not anymore.
In short, I hope you are right and that it will be and will continue to be a viable platform. I have never been explicitly for or against any platform, whether it comes from IBM or Microsoft.
