I'm a classic Notes developer who has been working in xPages for the past year. That being said, I do have a ton of LS in my applications that while they may be considered "legacy" are still running useful production code. Just yesterday I wrote a quick script to report on some duplicate data in an application. Quick and easy it was the right tool for that job. We all have power tools that can drive in a screw but sometimes a old fashioned screwdriver is the quicker and easier tool for the job.
