Right off I'm not sure. I thought maybe an advanced data grid of some sort... obviously drag and drop events but it looks pretty custom from what I've played with so far. I don't think you could have done it without a renderer or two. I'll have to look when I get home and see what I can figure out from there.
The thing that makes this so cool is only the Notes Workspace seems to have ever gotten that drag and drop has intrinsic value in that it allows us to impart meaning to icons beyond their face value based on how we arrange them. You see drag - drop as a feature in a lot of places, but how many apps appear to get this higher use that goes beyond just the data on the screen?
On that meme... have you checked out Code Bubbles? Looks promising - they clearly get drag and drop.
