As an alertnative you could use keyword documents which store a list of string
literals against there translated values keyed on language, rather than storing
the data in design elements.
Granted there is 1 lookup(based on the users desired language) but it means a
standard user can maintain the translations rather than having to go into the
designer. As a bonus the translation data could be used in any agents which
need to output text.
