I was afraid of that. The only other way that I can think of (that works without JavaScript) is to trick the form into thinking that the field is a checkbox (using a "fake" field similar to one of those voodoo fields that Domino generates), so that it accepts multiple values. I haven't tried anything like that myself, so I don't know if it's even possible.
