Four Generations of Howlett Ladies

It's not very often I get a chance to take a photo of the four generations of Howlett ladies, but my Nana turned 90 years old on Saturday and we had a party to celebrate.

In age order we have my daughter, my wife, my mother and my grandmother. Their initials just happen to be M, K, M and K. Maybe there's even another Howlett lady inside Karen. Who knows.

  1. Treasure that! We were fortunate enough to take a similar picture with my oldest daughter, my wife, my sister, my mom and my grandmother about two years before my grandma passed away. Print it and frame it and keep a copy for Minnie when she's old enough to appreciate it.

  2. Hi Jake,

How nice souvenir for the child ;)

We have a similar photo with the family (daughters, grandchildren) with Grandma than "102" years old.

    Congratulations !

102!! That's good going. If you lived here in the UK she'd have got a letter from the Queen.

  3. Beautiful. But it's not a fifth generation waiting in there. :-)

Fantastic... You are a very lucky man Jake. :-)

  4. Howdy from Down Under, my pop (my dad'd dad) was 100 on Wed 27th and we are having a party with family photo on this Sunday 31st Jan with all children, grand children, and great grand children. Nan is 97.

From Australia, even though we are still "tied" to the "motherland", you write to the Queen to tell her (office) that you are turning 100 and she'll send a signed letter (by one of her minions) as a celebratory token.

I would have thought the database of people turning 100 in the world would be no more than a few thousand records and she could hand sign. Oh well.

Great looking gals in your family Jake. I have 3 daughters. Cheers. Paul G.

  5. From Florida : Lovely photo - little Minnie is so cute! (I didn't know this was my auntie's 90th birthday or would have got a card out - will send one for Easter). I know an old lady here (former nurse) who is 105 & still "with it" & active. Only just learned from your dear dad that baby #3 is on the way for U, he tends to forget to tell me about stuff like that.....He says when he gets broadband soon he will be able to post more on his Facebook acct. - I'm now on FB. All the best,

    Cousin Pam
