Desert Island Websites

While on holiday seven of us spent quite a lot of time on the road. To pass the time we played a lot of games. One of them was Desert Island Discs. The idea being to choose your all-time favourite music that you would take with you if you were going to be marooned on a desert island. Well, I've had an idea. What about Desert Island Websites? Here are some of mine:

What are yours?

Wait. Your on a dessert island.. and you'd pick a notes development sites as one of your chosen? Thats madness!! nevermind two sites!

I'd pick BBCi much like jake for it's broadband tv thing. Some survival site, and some nice comedy sites to keep the mood high. TheOnion would do it.

"Wait. Your on a dessert island.."

    Surely you'd want a recipe site? :)

Guys. Don't miss the point of the game. It's not about survival. It's just to name your favourites sites. Forget the desert island bit... pretend your locked in a room (with internet access) for 48 hours or something.

    Hee-hee.. Google was one response.

Is that like when you get one wish, and your one wish is that you had a million wishes? ;-)

I could poke around for hours at sites like:

    Snopes.com (Urban Legends reference pages)

    BBspot.com (comp. geek satire)

    Good topic Jake!

  1. Do we get these ones as a default?

    http://www.biblegateway.com/

    http://the-tech.mit.edu/Shakespeare/

In true "Home Service" style :-)
