Re: Not even close. Win XP = Xtra Problems

No, I am not going to add to this argument as all OS have different merits.
However, as someone who is not eXperienced, I read today that a security issue
has arisen for IE and Windows XP "upgrades", previous patches being wiped out
by the XP upgrade.

I understand, from [<a

e.php3?id=3453">PC Pro</a>...]

If your browser is vulnerable because you've never installed a patch, or
recently upgraded to Windows XP Pro, download and install an all-encompassing
patch from Microsoft [<a
href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/Q313675/default.asp
" target="_blank">here</a>]. To read more about the problem, and prove that
your IE 6.0 browser is vulnerable, check out [<a
href="http://www.solutions.fi/iebug2" target="_blank">this page</a>], from
which you can run a live test.

Further details are available from [<a
href="http://www.securityfocus.com/archive/1/250596" target="_blank">Security
Focus</a>] and [<a
href="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q313675"
target="_blank">Microsoft</a>]. I am planning to upgrade to XP however,
sometime in the not to distant future.
