Creatig Blog Calendars in Domino

Domino Blog CalendarIt might have appeared that I thought that adding a dynamic calendar to a blog in Domino wasn't possible. At the time I didn't really give it much thought but today I did a bit of playing around with some @Functions and came up with this. It's a feature of the DomBlog template I'll give to you all shortly.

In doing this I am reminded how powerful @Functions can be when you apply them to a particular task. I imagine that with Release 6 of Domino and the ability to use new features like @DoWhile it will become a whole lot simpler. For the curious here's the code I've come up with. Ingenious, I'm sure you'll agree...

  1. Yet again another stroke of genius Jake!

I'm a huge fan of this type of "calendar for 'blogs" and was trying to come up with something similar on my site. The fact that you don't see it there should be an indication that *I* couldn't get it running!

As for the @Functions in R6, they really are a beautiful (as well as quite useful) thing.

Thanks again and I really look forward to the template ;-)

Anthony uses a quite a different approach to the problem than this. Although I'm sure he'll change it once he sees this code ;o)

Cool use of formula! It actually inspired me to create a European version of it (first day of week is Monday), but with a slightly different algorithm. You can find it here.
