    I live in Tennessee and I've never heard that before. Here chips are flat and crunchy, while french fries are slivers of potato. We have tartar sauce but no mushy peas.

    In the south though, we eat more chicken than fish. You can have a chicken biscuit for breakfast, chicken strips for lunch and fried chicken for supper :) although I normally grill mine.
