We've (only) got 1 and that's been more than enough.
She was born with a hole in the heart and underwent open heart surgery when she was 5 months old.
Thankfully she's doing well now (despite some lingering side-effects) but the stress, and spending every minute you're not at work at the hospital for nearly a year was not an experience I'd recommend, so there's no chance of another!
On another note, I won't hear a bad word said about the NHS from our experience. The service has been unbelievable.
