Ian I am not sure what you mean about applet the javax.swing classes is not
inherited from applet class. The javax.swing class is based from the JFC which
is inherits from the java.awt.* packages but thanks for the input. By the way I
have found a way to do what I was trying to do. It is possible to use the swing
class in notes client.
