At the moment, very big names are adopting RoR. Just to give you a quick hindsight: http://www.workingwithrails.com/high-profile-organisations
But then, this could be said for every platform. Even Sharepoint, after the huge curve of adoption, when companies realize what a mess of a product it is, they will embrace new techs. Who will know how much time will it take?
