My customers don't generally come to me for guidance on what tech route to follow. They tend to have a requirement and expect me to deliver it. In the past this has been with the mutual understanding it would be Notes-based. Whereas now that understanding is a little more blurred.
No client has asked me yet whether I'd recommend/use XPages or asked for my opinion on it.
