Another possiblilty I stumbled upon:Make sure the .js file you are referring has 'availble to public access users'
checked in it's properties, at least if it is a page.
The other possibilities are that the protocol, domain or hosts are different
for two elements on the page (like the .js and the .html reside in different
domains).
