Lotus Notes Exception - Special Database Object Not Found

Synopsis

Solutions

I got this error in two instances:

1) when I changed the value of the 'Form' field to a form name that did not exist.

2) when I refered to a form, in a view's form formula, that did not exist.

If you try to load the "$about" or "$using" urls or a database and no about or using document is specified in the db this error occurs.

Also if in the Database properties you have "Show "About database" document when database is opened for the first time" in the launch tab, and you don't have an about document, it will give you this error every time "anonymous" tries to access this DB from a browser "for the first time"

Only in ND6. If you are using subforms they must be visible to both Notes and the Web. If you have a subform only visible to the web and you open the form containing it in the Domino Designer you will also get this message.

Not only form name, but a form alias that may be referenced in a document and then is changed or removed may also generate this error.

Don't be lazy! Adopt the standard procedure of always putting something meaningful/relevant into the Help About and the Help Using documents in every database (even if it's only a sentence or two). It takes only maybe some tens of some seconds to do this, is useful (in the Notes Client environment, anyhow), and will obviate many of the above error situations.

LD 7.0.2 FP2

Nothing helped me. I tried to play with About document, database script, fixup DB, etc...

Just Database => New Copy helped to resolve this problem.
